The Training was implemented in a form of an intensive two-day course delivered in local language. A participatory and interactive approach was used (a combination of the theoretical explanation, discussions, and team exercises).

Mr. Đorđe Stefanović gave very good introduction into the course. He presented requirements of IPPC/IE Directives and accomplishment of their transposition into local legislation. He also presented local legislation in both entities and District of Brčko in Bosnia and Herzegovina and gave guidelines on future steps in harmonizing it with EU environmental aquis.

Ms. Kovačić and Mr. Nikov then presented forms of IPPC permit application and permit itself, highlighting the practice in Croatia and FYROM, difficulties in these processes and communication between Consultants, industry and authorities.

Participants were then divided into four groups and were given two tasks: to prepare conditions for given example of industry activity and to assign emission limit values and monitoring program as required by the IPPC permit. The group work was supervised by the local experts as facilitators. Results of each of the group were then discussed plenary through comments of the experts and additional questions from participants.

At the end of the workshop, participants were asked to fill in evaluation questionnaire.
