16th International Summer School \u201cNATIONAL ENERGY AND CLIMATE PLANS 2021-2030\u201d<\/strong> will be organized by REIC in collaboration with the Central European Initiative<\/strong> (CEI<\/strong>), German Development Cooperation \u2013 GIZ Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit<\/strong> and UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe<\/strong> (Antenna in Sarajevo<\/strong>).\u00a0The Summer School will be held in the Ethno village \u010cardaci (Vitez, Bosnia and Herzegovina) in the period of August 20-29, 2020.<\/p>\n

Summary:\u00a0<\/b>The main objective of the Summer School is to train young professionals in interdisciplinary approaches to energy and climate change in their scientific work and research. The Summer School will be thematically dedicated to key dimensions of the National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) Energy Union has been working for the upcoming period, 2021-2030:<\/p>\n

  1. Energy security,<\/li>\n
  2. Internal energy market,<\/li>\n
  3. Energy efficiency,<\/li>\n
  4. Decarbonisation, and<\/li>\n
  5. Research, innovation and competitiveness.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Target <\/b>group:<\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Young policy-makers and civil servants from governmental institutions, embassies and international organizations,<\/li>\n
    2. Officers working in authorities administration (national\/ regional\/ local) in SEE Europe,<\/li>\n
    3. Final year Bachler, Master and PhD students in the relevant field,<\/li>\n
    4. Representatives of NGOs,<\/li>\n
    5. Mid-career professionals from energy companies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Countries:\u00a0<\/b>Albania, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo*, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine. (*The name is without prejudice to the status of Kosovo and is in line with Resolution 1244 and the ICC Decision\u00a0on the Kosovo Declaration of Independence.)<\/p>\n

      Methods of <\/b>work:\u00a0<\/b>Lectures, workshops, case studies, participatory approach<\/p>\n

      Language:\u00a0<\/b>English<\/p>\n

      Fee <\/b>info:\u00a0<\/b>No participation fees. Full fellowship includes costs of full board accommodation (shared rooms) and training. Participants will cover only cost of their transport to\/from the venue.<\/p>\n
