We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Summer School 2021. Please read the following information carefully.<\/p>\n

The\u00a016th<\/sup> International Summer School \u201cNATIONAL ENERGY AND CLIMATE PLANS 2021-2030\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0is organized by Regional Education and Information Centre for sustainable development in South East Europe – REIC in collaboration with the\u00a0Central European Initiative<\/strong>\u00a0(CEI<\/strong>), German Development Cooperation \u2013\u00a0GIZ Deutsche Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Internationale Zusammenarbeit<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0UNESCO Regional Bureau for Science and Culture in Europe<\/strong>\u00a0(Antenna in Sarajevo<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

The in-class module of the School is planned to be held in the Ethno village \u010cardaci<\/a> (Bosnia and Herzegovina). The initial edition of the Summer School should have been organized in period of August 20-29, 2020 but due to expansion of the pandemic COVID-19 the School is rescheduled for August 19-28, 2021. So where we stood last year, we will continue now.<\/p>\n

Summary:\u00a0<\/strong>The main objective of the Summer School is to train young professionals in interdisciplinary approaches to energy and climate change in their scientific work and research, from fundamental research to applied science. The 10-day School is consisting of a series of lectures and workshops as well as case studies with participatory approach. The Summer School is thematically dedicated to key dimensions of the National Energy and Climate Plans (NECPs) Energy Union has been working for the upcoming period, 2021-2030:<\/p>\n

  1. Energy security,<\/li>\n
  2. Internal energy market,<\/li>\n
  3. Energy efficiency,<\/li>\n
  4. Decarbonisation, and<\/li>\n
  5. Research, innovation and competitiveness.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0<\/strong>No participation fees. <\/strong><\/p>\n

    Countries:\u00a0<\/strong>Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Hungary, Kosovo*, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia.<\/p>\n

    Target\u00a0group:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. Young policy-makers and civil servants from governmental institutions, embassies and international organizations,<\/li>\n
    2. Officers working in authorities administration (national\/ regional\/ local) in SEE Europe,<\/li>\n
    3. Final year Bachler, Master and PhD students in the relevant field,<\/li>\n
    4. Representatives of NGOs,<\/li>\n
    5. Mid-career professionals from energy companies.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Full fellowship<\/strong> includes costs of full board accommodation (shared rooms in the Ethno village \u010cardaci<\/a>), lectures, learning material and study visit. Participants will cover only cost of their transport to\/from the venue.<\/p>\n

Supporting documents are recommended but not obligatory.<\/p>\n
