Predstavljamo vam četvrti broj Biltena projekta GETA.

Projekat GETA nastoji da podrži energetsku tranziciju u ovim područjima na Zapadnom Balkanu kroz praktične metode i edukaciju mladih ljudi iz ruralnih područja, koji su osjetljivi na energetsko siromaštvo u svojim domaćinstvima.

Projekat GETA sufinansira Evropska unija, a implementira ga partnerski konzorcijum koji se sastoji od: Life Foundation (Sweden), University Polytechnic of Marche (Italy), Environmental and Territorial Management Institute ETMI (Albania), Regional Education and Information Center for Sustainable Development in SEE REIC (Bosnia and Herzegovina) i Općina Kavaje (Albania).

DECA Project Management Meeting Held in Niš, Serbia

Niš, Serbia, October 22-24, 2024 – The city of Niš hosted the DECA (Developing Energy Communities in the Adriatic-Ionian Region) Project Management Meeting, convening key stakeholders and project partners to review progress, align strategies, and strengthen collaboration toward advancing sustainable energy practices in the region.

The formal meeting started on October 23 at the Science and Technology Park Niš, with an in-depth review of content modules, where partners discussed the topics, shared gathered content, and addressed essential considerations to ensure alignment and quality.

Partners visited the Local Learning Lab and a study visit to the MAGDON energy community, a leading example of renewable energy implementation and community-based energy solutions. This visit provided participants with hands-on insights into innovative practices in fostering energy communities.

On October 24, the focus was strategic planning for awareness-raising and capacity-building activities. Partners presented guidance materials and outlined comprehensive plans for training programs and community engagement initiatives through 2025. Discussions supported interactive Q&A sessions, allowing for the exploration of outstanding questions and innovative solutions. The meeting concluded with final remarks, reaffirming the shared commitment of the partners to advancing the objectives of the DECA project.

The DECA Project Management Meeting in Niš highlighted the importance of collective efforts in promoting energy transition and supporting community-driven initiatives. The outcomes of the meeting will play a crucial role in guiding the project’s future activities and ensuring its alignment with regional priorities for sustainable development.

GETA E-Learning Platform Launched

The GETA E-Learning Platform has officially been launched, providing an innovative resource for tackling energy poverty and advancing renewable energy solutions. Designed for policymakers, community leaders, and individuals interested in sustainability, the platform offers practical tools and knowledge to drive meaningful action.

The platform includes the following modules:

  • Introduction to Energy Poverty
  • How to Diagnose Energy Poverty
  • How to Alleviate Energy Poverty

Participants can earn certifications by completing the modules and successfully passing the tests, enhancing their expertise in addressing these vital issues.

Available in English, Bosnian, Swedish, Italian, and Albanian, the platform ensures accessibility and inclusivity for diverse communities.

This initiative is part of the GETA Project, co-financed by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme.
